Founded in 1921, Myakka City United Methodist is located sandwiched between WeeCare Christian Academy and Myakka City Elementary. It primarily consists of two buildings:
- Church Building. Consists of 14 full size pews and 4 half pews. Estimated maximum seating is approximately 80-90 people.
- Kitchen/Recreation Building. Connected with a covered walkway, this building contains a small sitting area with couches, and open area (usually filled with tables and chairs), and a kitchen.
The church allows use of its recreating building for activities like local Girl Scouts and will host events (i.e. back to school supplies).

Nothing better than a church that takes you for who you are and where you are on your walk with the Lord. May be a small church but they have huge hearts and love to give back.. When a church is so close and open to others that after a couple weeks everyone feels like family.
